Deddington Junction in the early 20th century
City of Truro thunders past Hempton shed with the rake of Dean clerestory corridor coaches, making an ideal fin de siècle train.
Great Western Railway City class 4-4-0, No.3440 City of Truro blasts out of Deddington Tunnel
Other period locos on shed at that time would have included the Dean single 3046 Lord of the Isles, the Dean 0-6-0 goods and the 2721 class pannier.
Maybe there would have been a 2-6-0 mogul as on the turntable here. Lord of the Isles was the out-going top link loco; Churchward's 4-6-0s were on their way.
